Well not everyone is happy with Bollywood and shoots in their city, for example Vidya Balan's film Kahaani which has been shot extensively across Kolkata, faced hostility from the residents of the city.
Capturing real locations on film came with a price. The crew members were beaten up, the film’s director, Sujoy Gosh was stripped and faced death threats by locals who were disturbed by a 'pregnant' Vidya Balan attracting attention on the roads of the city.
Acquiring all required permissions, doesn’t seem to make a difference to the residents who were the reason several shoots were cancelled, causing losses running into lakhs. Guess not everyone is a big Bollywood fan, eh Kolkata?
